Fishery Rules



Our rules at Bearley Lakes are based on those of many fisheries:

  • Please keep gates closed at all times.
  • Anglers must have current Environment Agency (EA) rod license.
  • Only landing nets, slings and cradles provided by Bearley Lakes must be used.
  • Bait boats are permitted.
  • Anglers must be responsible for all litter in and around their swim.
  • Fishing from designated pegs only.
  • No fish to be removed or introduced to the water.
  • Nuts are the only bait banned.
  • No more than three rods are permitted for angling unless authorized.
  • There will be no sacking or retention of fish.
  • All fish must be returned using the weigh slings provided
  • Do not stand up holding the fish whilst photographing.
  • No shock-leaders, braided main line, lead core or leaders of any kind to be used for fishing.
  • Micro barbed or barbless hooks only. Bent hooks are not to be used.
  • No excess alcohol, fires, swimming or loud music.
  • FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE RULES ABOVE WILL RESULT IN THE

    INDIVIDUAL BEING ASKED TO LEAVE AND BANNED FROM THE LAKES ON A

    PERMANANT BASIS WITHOUT REFUND.
